Battery
The battery is similar to a gas tank on a car; the bigger the battery, the farther you can ride on a single charge. Batteries come in many different styles and sizes:

Batteries take on average 4 - 4½ hours to charge. They should be charged to full at room temperature and not run totally dead (keep between 50° - 90°F). For long-term storage (more than a month), charge to 60-80% and pull off charger.
